| Eliot Spitzer - The New Benedict Arnold ? |
The man pictured to the right - if you don't know it - is the governor of New York. He has recently taken an action that will tarnish his name - at least for some - for a very long time. He has opened the highways of New York to illegal aliens by signing an administrative order that will allow illegals to obtain a New York drivers license. This, of course, will allow the 500,000 estimated illegals in New York to freely travel New York and every other state in the union. It will also make it more difficult for immigration officials to apprehend illegals - many of whom are guilty of crimes in their home countries as well as the United States.
As the inevitable battle lines are drawn in the battle to preserve American laws and culture, Eliot Spitzer's name will not be listed among the friendlys...
Definitely a Tory! See Spitzer's policy change granting driver amnesty. |

| North and South Join To Secede! |
 |
| Dr. J. Michael Hill, President, League of the South |
|
| An unlikely coalition of pro-secession forces joined each other recently in Chattanooga Tennessee. The League of the South and the Second Vermont Republic organization along with 12 or more other organizations from all over the continental U.S. and Hawaii joined at the Chattanooga Marriott. The old adage its not news when dog bites man, but when man bites dog - definitely applies here. The Middlebury Institute headed by Kirkpatrick Sales and the Second Vermont Republic led by Thomas Naylor, joining forces with The League of the South headed by Dr. J. Michael Hill - two liberal valued organizations joining a conservative valued organization for the common purpose of secession from the United States. Well friends that is news!
Without editorializing, I am linking appropriate news articles along with each organizations websites.

The Middlebury Institute Second Vermont Republic The League of The South
After reading these articles the verses to What's happening Here started rolling through my head. This song was written during the peace movement of the sixties, but with the turmoil over immigration, illegal wiretapping, and other issues, the message in the song could be just as applicable in a conservative, libertarian, independent context.
What's Happening Here - Buffalo Springfield
There's something happening here What it is ain't exactly clear There's a man with a gun over there Telling me I got to beware
I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down
There's battle lines being drawn Nobody's right if everybody's wrong Young people speaking their minds Getting so much resistance from behind
I think it's time we stop, hey, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down
What a field-day for the heat A thousand people in the street Singing songs and carrying signs Mostly say, hooray for our side
It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down
Paranoia strikes deep Into your life it will creep It starts when you're always afraid You step out of line, the man come and take you away
We better stop, hey, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down Stop, hey, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down Stop, now, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down Stop, children, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down

| Judge Questions Woman's Religious Beliefs in Custody Hearing |
You can't make this stuff up! Blount County, Tennessee, Circuit Court Judge Dale Young and plaintiff's attorney, Craig Garrett turned a routine custody hearing into a Bible Study class with the plaintiff's attorney Garrett saying, “I did get on her about her religion because she’s so over the top.
“My purpose was to show her fanatical characteristics — but the judge’s decision about custody was not based on religion.”
This is truly an outstanding story involving a judge whose recent decisions in other matter have made him a judicial "loose cannon." Read The Story
